In a recent video, an Instagram user impressed her followers with her low-waste bathroom, which makes greener living look easy.
In her post, Jhánneu (@jhanneu) gives viewers a brief tour of her bathroom, which she's designed to be as waste-free as possible. The first item she shows off is her smart bidet, which boasts an impressive array of features and customizable options to put even the biggest bidet skeptics at ease.
"It has a heated seat, warm water, and it even has a fan," Jhánneu says. "I love it so much."
Switching to bidets is one of the best ways you can save money and reduce waste in your bathroom. Forbes estimates that the average American uses around 400 rolls of toilet paper each year, with annual spending on toilet paper ranging from $180 to $350.
Jhánneu's next item is bamboo toilet paper, which she keeps on hand for guests.
To keep the bathroom smelling fresh, Jhánneu uses a diffuser instead of traditional air fresheners like Febreze, which usually come in wasteful single-use containers that end up in landfills. Diffusers, on the other hand, don't have the same waste problem because they're refillable, so you don't have to constantly throw out excess packaging.
Lastly, Jhánneu uses a refillable bottle by Grove Collaborative to spray down surfaces when they need a good cleaning.
Users shared their excitement about Jhánneu's low-waste bathroom in the comments.
"Love to see a low-waste bathroom," one user commented.
"Brillant! Now I know where to place my extra diffuser!" said another.
"Love this! Especially that toilet feature lol," a third commenter stated.
